The beginning of the "paint over" grid
Studio presence with references, ADDiMG THE VASE
These images are "Vase over Four-Square" a repaint finished June 2023. I took photos of a crystal vase and quilt fabric to superimpose over the "Four Square"abstract grid painting from the early 2000's. when I print out the photoshop collage it's an interesting twist to "paint from myself" because of the remnants of the original four square abstract. The last related image is the final painting.
